step one

  • On the home screen of your iOS device, tap the "Settings" icon (highlighted blue).

  • In the settings menu, scroll down and tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" option (highlighted red)
  • Tap your Lingo email (highlighted green) from the "Accounts" menu.

  • Under the "IMAP" menu, tap your account email address (highlighted green).
 

step four

  • In the "Account" window, under "IMAP ACCOUNT INFORMATION," verify your full email address is typed in the "Email" box.  
  • Under "INCOMING MAIL SERVER," verify mail.lingonetworks.net is typed in the "Host Name" box.  
  • Ensure your full email address is typed in the "User Name" box and that your password is typed in the "Password" box.  
  • Under "Outgoing Mail Server," click the "SMTP" tab (highlighted green).

  • Tap "smtp.lingonetworks.net" under "PRIMARY SERVER." 
    • Please note, if you have multiple Lingo Networks servers listed under "OTHER SMTP SERVERS", you will have to repeat this step.
 

step six

  • For the "Server" option, verify the respective button is turned on (green, not white).  
  • Under "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER," ensure smtp.lingonetworks.net is typed in the "Host Name" box.  
  • Verify your full email address is typed in the "User Name" box and that your password is typed in the "Password" box.
  • Turn the "Use SSL" button off (white, not green).  
  • Ensure "Password" is selected for "Authentication" and the "Server Port" is 587.  
  • Tap the "Done" button in the top right of the window.
 

step seven

  • After completing the previous step, you will see the main Account window.  
 

step eight

  • Tap the "Advanced" tab at the bottom of the window (highlighted red).
 

step nine

  • In the "Advanced" window, scroll to the bottom of the window and verify the "Use SSL" button is turned off (white, not green). 
  • Ensure "Authentication" is set to "Password" and your "Server Port" is listed as 143.  
  • Tap "Account" in the top left of the window.  
 

step ten

  • Tap "Done" in the top right of the window (highlighted red). 
  • Your settings have now been updated.
